Welcome to my Shop Policies page!

My desire is that you to experience as much satisfaction and joy in purchasing my work as I have had in making it.  I’m hoping you will treasure your piece for years to come.  My aim in forging shop policies is to foster transactions that are both fair and sustainable for me and my customers.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me!

Shipping

Just as every piece has been carefully hand made and is one-of-a kind, so do I take great care in packing my pieces for shipping.  A small amount of the price of shipping materials & labor is included in my shipping price  The cost of shipping is designed to cover the actual shipping costs as closely as possible.  Shipping for one item is $14, and increases $5 per each additional item.  A bigger, heavier order may require that I charge a bit more to cover the costs.

All work will be shipped out within five business days, but I usually ship within 1-2 days.  If you have a pressing need for a one day shipping, I will be happy to accommodate your request if I am able.  I ship FedEx or USPS and will send you tracking information in order that you may track your package.  If you would like expedited shipping, the price of the shipping will increase to reflect the extra expense.

International customers will need to contact me so that I might more accurately estimate the shipping charges.  Again, my aim is to be fair to both you and me, and I try to make the shipping cost reflect the actual costs incurred.

Local Pickup

If you live in one of the Long Beach zip codes, you have the option of picking up your purchase at my studio instead of having it mailed.  If you choose the “Local Pickup” option, I will contact you via email to coordinate further.

Gifts

If this purchase is to be a gift, you may request that I include a note for the recipient.  Just let me know at the time of purchase.

Refunds & Exchanges

Because this is a small business, no refund can given at this time.  Exchanges will be accepted within three days of receipt of purchase.  The return shipping and insurance are the responsibility of the customer.  Please contact me for more information if an exchange is desired.

Use and Care of Pieces

All functional ware is meant to be used and enjoyed.  The porcelain is fired to 2300°, so heating or baking in a dish will do it no harm.  Just make sure to allow the dish to heat up in the oven slowly to avoid temperature shock.  Do not put the piece straight from the refrigerator into the oven or microwave.  Unless the piece has a decal on it (this will be indicated in the product description when you purchase the piece) it is safe to go into the dishwasher.  Common sense regarding fragile extensions should be used.
